I am a brand new user

Tried to learn how to use the system by duplicating the Trading Systems results on home page. Ran tests as explained on 'About Performance' page.
Used the public system 'DipBuyer slow w/ volume filter' and for the period 01/30/2009 to 01/30/2010. Symbol list SP 500, etc. as shown on the About performance page. Averaged the results. My number were much lower than published numbers.

How should I test to duplicate the published numbers? Thanks in Advance

I give up

Had high hopes for this site but apparently it is dead.

If I cannot duplicate the results how can a trust any of the numbers.

The site is far from dead, in fact I will release a new component soon that will allow trading to real accounts.

Please email me (info@amichel.com) any questions or concerns you have.

Thanks,

Adrian

Hi John

To duplicate the results you must duplicate all session parameters which Adrian uses for performance back testing.

1.Go to symbols and choose SP500 (Not S&P500).
2.Go to systems and choose for example DipBuyer fast.
3.Go to sessions and make set up as follows:

Position Sizing
Initial capital 100000
Maximum Open Positions none
Position size $10000
Position size limit none
Parameters
Commission 5
Slippage 0.2
From date 1 Year
To date Now
Options
Charts on
Equity on
Statistics on
Trades on
Signals on
Output on
Invalid Data Handling ignore
Systems
Current system DipBuyer fast
Checked systems [None]
Symbols
Symbols list SP 500
Virtual Accounts
[No selected accounts]

Name this session Duplicate Test and save as.

URL for this session should be :
http://www.tradery.com/session?&cs=331&i=100000&m=0&z=2&sh=100&v=10000&pe=25&pc=25&l=0&pv=0.1&a=10000&p=0.2&c=5&t=Now&f=1 Year&ch=1&st=1&eq=1&tr=1&si=1&ou=1&de=2&b=969&r=1
Run this session and get same results as in performance table.

Not only you had high hopes for this site.
It is five time faster and easier to use than the latest Wealth Lab Pro 5.6.
Do not give up.

VY

Sorry for the long absence from the forums. I will explain everything in a post or blog.

Just wanted to reassure you that you can still count on tradery. Let me know if you have any questions.
